Thank you for visiting our site and learning more about BBOWS.  Our organization recruits and trains referees for Field Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, and Lacrosse. 

This is an exciting time to be a referee.  Sports are growing as club programs and recruiting tournaments become the norm in athletics.  Athletes are keeping pace with the growth in each sport, getting faster and stronger.  In return, our referees need to be in shape, mentally and physically, to call games that challenge both our bodies and our ability to call a game in real time. 

Because of the explosive growth in sports and how that growth impacts officials, BBOWS continues to lead other referee organizations in training and then ongoing education.  Our reputation for setting the bar in both initial training and continuing education is one that BBOWS values. We expect our referees to work hard continuously on their game and their professionalism. Our in-season meetings tackle the current issues, thus attendance at these meetings is mandatory.

If you are interested in becoming the very best official you can be and are willing to challenge yourself to be a student of the game, then please consider joining our group. You will learn the ‘ins and outs’ of officiating in a collegial atmosphere with other referees who want to help you succeed.
